Privacy Policy for Dublin Camera Club
This Privacy Policy describes how Dublin Camera Club (DCC) collects, uses, protects, processes and shares your personal information (data) when you complete an Application Form to join our club, or interact with DCC in any way (e.g. by phone, email, text message).
DCC provides that the data you supply will be used for the following purposes only:
- To provide and deliver the Club’s services
- To send Club announcements, only if you have given separate consent to do so.
- To contact you with important Club information
- To respond to your comments or questions
- To process payment transactions
To provide invoices/receipts
With reference to card payments, either online or in the Club, the credit/debit card number is never written or stored anywhere.
If you request a copy of the Club’s records of your data, DCC will provide a hard copy, with no alternations from the original. These will be handed to you in person or sent by registered mail.
If DCC receive a request from you to update any data, DCC will correct your records at the earliest possible time.
DCC is committed to taking appropriate measures designed to keep your Data secure. Our technical, administrative and physical procedures are designed to protect your data from loss, theft, misuse and accidental, unlawful or unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, use and destruction. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information provided to us.
Every precaution will be taken to avoid a breach of your data, but if such a breach should occur, it will be documented, assessed as to its severity and the appropriate action will be taken.
The Data Protection Commissioner will be informed, An Garda Siochana and financial institutions will be contacted for assistance and you will be contacted to help you take steps to mitigate the risks to yourself, if it is deemed a severe enough breach as to put you, your identity, etc., at risk.
