COMING EVENTS IN DCC
Thursday 12th December – the Documentary and Street Photography Group will meet in the Gallery from 7.30pm
Monday 16th December – there is a Novice Workshop in the Gallery commencing at 7.30pm; the theme for the night is “Feet but the subtheme is Camera Essentials - going through the must know features of your camera
Next Tuesday 17th December – we will have judging of the Colour entries for the Winter League 3rd leg. As this is also the last meeting before the New Year, we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies upstairs afterwards.
Regarding the Winter League, we have had a technical glitch with automatically reminding members to renew their subscriptions (€120). As a result some reminders were not issued and some members went into arrears. All members in arrears have been written to by the Secretary since we discovered this glitch. However this has resulted in some Winter League entries from people who need to pay their annual subscription. This issue has now been fixed, and all people concerned should have received e-mails informing them of overdue subscriptions.
We would appreciate these arrears being paid please, in particular if anyone is intending to enter next month's Winter League, only fully paid up members will have their entry accepted.

Looking ahead:
General Monday Workshops
Separately we are re-commencing more general Monday Workshops. These are not exclusivly for beginners, some will deal with more advanced topics. These are free to members. They are not to be confused with the Novice Workshops which will also run on Mondays and will be aimed at novices.
There is a program put together for the year which has an initial focus on processing. There is a sequence to this and anyone considering attending these might try to attend as many as they can as they will build on eack other. Later workshops will assume knowledge of material covered in earlier workshops. The initial workshops are listed on the club calendar, later ones are subject to change. Watch the calendar.

COUNCIL
It won't be long before our AGM in February (Tuesday 25th) and we know some existing council members aren't intending to go forward for reelection. This is to ask you to consider getting involved by serving on the Council, or to think of people who may be willing to have their name go forward. The commitment is one meeting per month, plus other tasks depending on the role.

DOCUMENTARY AND STREET PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP
Meeting next - Thursday 19th December @ 7.30 in the club (Every third Thursday)
At the August meeting of the DSPG, it was suggested that we give more in-depth critiques of images. To facilitate this, a small website that allows members to anonymously submit images to be critiqued has been constructed. If you are interested in submitting an image and/or offering critiques at the next meeting, please send your e-mail address to This email address is being protected from spambots.
