Dublin Camera Club
Dublin Camera Club
10 Camden Street Lower, Saint Kevin's, Dublin 2, Ireland

The Camera Club hosts a workshop every two weeks.  The workshop topics are quite varied, some are aimed principally at those who are just starting out with their photography.  Others relate to a specific skill or technique and could be suitable for the mare advanced members.  This is not just a forum for novices.  Some Workshops are for those who have just completed the "Photography for Beginners" Course, to submit images based on a theme (each workshop has a different theme) and have them critiqued in a friendly, non-judgemental way.  It is also a way to get to know people in the club and make new friends.  Each workshop is different and evolves around the images submitted with advice being given on composition, exposure and how to improve the image.  Images are frequently adjusted in Photoshop to illustrate a particular point.  Each workshop is listed it the Current Program section for the day in question.

From time-to-time, other club members will deliver a “lecture” on a particular expertise they may have.

Dates of Distinction Workshops 15th October 2018

Frequently, the club will host workshops to help members who are considering applying for a photographic distinction (Licentiate, Associate, or Fellowship).  The club is proud of its record in this field - members who have attended this workshop invariably attain the desired accreditation.  Bring your images that you are considering for submission either in print form (5 x 7 is sufficient for this) or digitally for initial consideration.
