Dublin Camera Club
10 Camden Street Lower, Saint Kevin's, Dublin 2, Ireland

The Camera Club is starting a series of Monday Workshops designed to appeal to members who have a general understanding of basic issue and who wish to develop skills in a variety of areas.  These will take place in the club approximately monthly.

These are not to be confused with Beginners Workshops which will continue, also on different Mondays and are clearly set out on the calendar as “Beginners Workshops”.

The initial workshops are on the overall theme of Post Processing and will show the differing uses of Lightroom and Photoshop and how to use the appropriate software for each function and how the two interact together.

The  workshops are developed as an incremental sequence and will to some extend build on each other.  Attendance at the sequence is recommended.  However it is also hoped that each workshop will be able to stand on its own so if a member misses one, they should not be put off from attending a laret one.

Starting on January 13th with a basic “Introduction to Lightroom” Peter MacMenamin will show the basics of this piece of software.

This will be followed on 10th February with “Using Lightroom” in which Peter will explore the various modules in Lightroom and show its versatility.

On 9th “March Photoshop – levels and curves” will be the theme of the workshop led by Pauric McGroder.

April 6thProcessing Black & White”  workshop, Helen Hannafin will develop this topic.

May 11th sees a return to Lightroom when Gerry Andrews will lead a workshop on “Lightroom, Process flow” where he will show his workflow to bring the best out of an image in the Develop Module of Lightroom.

Further workshops are being planned for later in the year.  These will be in response to suggestions or requests from members.  To make a suggestion please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
